Ellie Roberts

Degree: Environmental Sciences

Minors: Geology, Environmental Toxicology

Hometown: Raleigh, NC

What are you plans after graduation?

After graduation, I’m hoping to start a career in environmental consulting or a related field, doing work that lets me combine my interests in GIS, fieldwork, and environmental problem-solving. I also plan on pursuing graduate school for geospatial analytics in the future, but for now I am excited to begin working and gaining experience!

What was your favorite memory working for the FPC?

My favorite memory working for the FPC was getting to watch the drone fly and learning about how it works!

Gavin Amick

Degree: Forest Management (Production Concentration)

Minor: Agricultural Business Management

Hometown: Norwood, NC

What are you plans after graduation?

After graduation, I will be conducting drone operations for agricultural spraying on crops such as corn, wheat, and soybeans as well as supporting forestry site preparation. However, I am still actively seeking opportunities within forestry or related fields where I can continue to develop technical skills in emerging technologies such as remote sensing, GIS, LiDAR, and drone applications.

What was your favorite memory working for the FPC?

My favorite memory working for the FPC was conducting measurements in Virginia after it had recently snowed.
